A tidbit I learnt the hard way last week about changing the VIP for a SQL resource group - changing it in the MSCS console is not the way to do it. You have to run the SQL installer, put in the name of the virtual server you want to change the IP of, and then goto the advanced tools on the next screen. You can then remove the old IP and assign a new one to the appropriate NIC. SQL setup will take care of editing the cluster resources.

If you already changed the IP in the cluster resource, you'll have to go in there and change it back to the old one and then run SQL setup. What happens if you do this just in the MSCS console is that SQL won't start because of issues talking binding to the IP as well as not being able to talk to MSDTC.
